Google Pay – Paying with your smartphone
With Google Pay, you can use your smartphone like a digital bank card. This allows you to set up your bank account on your smartphone and, thanks to the built-in NFC chip, use your smartphone instead of your bank card at the supermarket checkout terminal.
Download the app
First, download the Google Pay app from the Play Store.
Register your bank card
After launching the app for the first time, follow the instructions that appear on the display. You can then register your bank card directly in the app. Depending on your provider, you may also need to verify your account for payments with Google Pay.
Pay
If you have previously made purchases using your bank card by holding it up to the terminal at the supermarket checkout, you can now do this with your smartphone. All you need to do is unlock your smartphone and hold it up to the reader instead of your bank card. You don't even need to open the Google Pay app.
