Can I use WhatsApp with a emporia smartphone?
Yes. The emporia smartphones run on Android 16 and have the Google Play Store. You install WhatsApp, YouTube, Google Maps, or your banking app just like on any other Android smartphone.
How does the emergency button work?
All emporia phones have a tactile emergency button. In an emergency, it alerts your stored emergency contacts. On the smartphones, the button can also be assigned other functions, such as flashlight, camera, or the Gemini Assistant.
Do I need a contract?
No. All emporia phones are available without a contract and work with a nano-SIM card from your carrier.
Are the mobile phones suitable for hearing aid users?
Yes. emporia phones are hearing aid compatible. The emporiaSMART.8 can even stream audio directly to compatible hearing aids via the ASHA protocol.
What to do when the battery weakens?
Simply swap it yourself. The battery in the emporia is not permanently installed and can be replaced without tools – a replacement battery is available in the shop. This lets you use your phone for much longer.
