Connecting to a PC to transfer data

You can connect the emporia device to your PC and then transfer data easily. To do this, use the USB cable supplied and plug it into the phone and the USB port on your PC.

  • The phone detects the connection and a message Device is charging via USB appears in the Info Centre.
  • Tap on this notification.
  • A pop-up window appears with a selection list of how you want to use the USB connection.
  • Select File Transfer.
  • The smartphone will now appear on your PC as an external storage device and you can copy data.
  • Depending on the operating system of your PC, the procedure may differ from this description.

What to do:

Step 1: Connect the smartphone to the PC with a cable
Step 2: Allow access to data on the smartphone
Step 3: Select the destination folder on the PC
Step 4: Transfer data

Connect the smartphone to the PC using the USB cable supplied.

Then open the "Info Centre".

By default, the USB connection is only used for charging.
Tap on the display "USB for charging".

Tap on the "File transfer" display. Now your smartphone is displayed on the PC through the USB connection.

Open the file manager on the PC.

The emporia device is now listed as a storage medium.

Click on this display, the phone's memories are now displayed and can be selected.

If you have not inserted an SD card, only the phone memory is displayed.
